IIT JAM Mathematics Exam – Marking Scheme

The marking scheme for the IIT JAM Maths Exam Pattern is as follows:
A Section
- This section is split into two sections. The first section will consist of ten one-point multiple-choice questions.
- Every incorrect response is marked negatively. For the one-mark question, 1/3 will be deducted.
- The remaining 20 Multiple Choice Questions are worth two points each, and incorrect answers will result in a deduction of two-thirds of a point.
B Section
- This section has ten multiple-choice questions worth two points each. This section has no negative marking.
C Section
- It has 30 Numerical Answer questions. 1 point will be granted for each of the ten Numerical Answer type questions, and 2 points will be awarded for the remaining questions.
- Section C will not be graded negatively.
